Over the past week the children have taken a closer look into the “9” planets of the Solar System.  Why “9” do we say?  Through our discovering time the children have found out that Pluto is no longer considered a main planet in our Solar System and is actually no known as a dwarf planet.  Ask your child if they can tell you the two reasons why Pluto is now called a dwarf planet.

Now the children are in the process of creating posters of the planet they chose to research as a collaborative piece to our learning and will soon be sharing their discoveries.  Below are a few images of the some of the sketches for the children’s final project.
