Together with Ms. Elaine, Ms. Pat from the CMC and Ms. Clarisse, Anagha from our class did some comparison work using Venn diagrams, and even went on an “Impact Hunt” around the school. The students interviewed Mr. Campbell and took photographic eveidence of both positive and negative impacts. Anagha then researched the topic of dolphins. She worked very hard to prepare a powerpoint presentation, which she then presented to the class when they returned to school. It was particularly fascinating, as Anagha uncovered the news that 25 dolphins were removed from the Solomon Islands and taken to Resort World, Singapore. Due to problems, these dolphins have now ended up at Subic, where they are being trained. There is a big petition out to have them returne to their home. It is very interesting to have 2 different perspectives on the same topic… should dolphins be captive or  free?
