It was a short unit as it followed on the tail of fractions, which followed on the tail of division (see the connection?!!). We used visuals, we played games and we practised the concepts using place value manipulatives. Imagine word study fitting in to math?? Of course… add the suffix –th and you instantly have a decimal!!   Ten–> tenth…hundreds–> hundredths

We are now moving on to Geometry- angles, lines, symmetry, 2D and 3D shapes. This is always a fun unit and the perfect way to finish off the school year.
