This week the children had an opportunity to explore their new classroom and get to know their classmates through fun, hands-on activities. The children discovered many similarities and differences amongst themselves and their classmates during our “Snowball Fight” and “Find Someone Who” activities. Coming together after both of these activities allowed everyone to begin to make some connections with their new classmates. Below are some images of the children engaged and having a blast finding out about one another!

Can you share a fact that you learned about one of your classmates or teachers that you remember from these activities?
This week the children also worked with tally marks as they began to explore their classroom. During this activity they had to go and count up the total numbers of given items and create their tally mark chart. Once they were finished with their counting and tallying, they then had to go and analyze their findings. This was a challenging task for some, but with guidance and redirection everyone was successful! Below are some images taken during this learning time.
