We truly are an inquiry-based class, always Thinking about Thinking… and Learning about Learning. TAT and LAL are alive and well in Smartia, and we certainly are getting good at “BRAIN SPLATS” !!! It is all about making Thinking Visible and “letting us into your heart and your brain”. The photos show various techniques that we have used already in class for TAT: Compass Points, Agree-Disagree Line, Post-it note splats – there are many more to come throughout the year! Our “toolbox” will be full of many tools…

Look at the amazing scientific data that we gathered on ourselves by coming together after a small group activity and reflecting on what we were doing. We were examining the evidence to get conclusions about what COLLABORATION looks like, sounds like and feels in the classroom. After all, collaboration is one of our ISM transciplinary skills, so we need to know what it’s all about before we can start practising it!!
