Today we inquired into a new disposition about being self-directed. The children enjoyed their two-group sharing time where they first talked with a partner about what they think self-directed means and then paired up with a second group to discuss further about why being self-directed is important. Below is a list of ideas that the children came up with.
After brainstorming and sharing their ideas, the kids went back and created their own definition of what they think being self-directed means. Then we watched an amazing video about a little boy named Caine. Caine modeled many of our dispositions throughout the video. Can you share with us one of the dispositions you noticed and explain what he was doing that modeled this act? Leave your comments and share your thoughts with us!
