TAT?? What’s that? It rolls off the tongues of my students now – “thinking about thinking”… taking the time to slow down and really investigate what your brain is doing. We used some mystery images (hah, all energy related – actually sources of energy!)¬†for a tuning in activity called “SEE-THINK-WONDER” as well as “THINK-WONDER-EXPLORE“. It is not so much the teachher up at the front of the class, spouting off what she/he knows so that the children can spout it back! It is tapping into what the children already have as background knowledge – what they think they know, what they wonder and question still, and what they might do in order to be able to explore these further.
